Rupert was born in Hertfordshire, England. He is the eldest of 5 children born to Jo and Nigel Grint. He enjoys drawing, sleeping, golfing, and has a keen musical taste. He owns two dogs both labradors named Fudge and Ruby. Rupert always makes time for his fans and tries to take photos and sign autographs with as many people as he can. His audition for the role of Ron Weasley was comprised of a video of himself dressed as his female drama teacher and rapping about the role of Ron. He sent this tape into Newsround and was picked out of an overwhelming amount of others to become the peoples Ron.(and they couldn't have done any better!) With each Potter film and the stunning indie film Driving Lessons, Rupert has proven that his talent continues to grow and improve. There is no doubt that Rupert has a bright future before him!
